Volunteer at SOS Chapala DOG Rescue and give your love and care to dogs that have been abused or abandoned by their owners and are looking for a new and better home. We need volunteers for the following:

• Dog care at the shelter

• Fostering a dog

• Flight Angels to accompany dogs to new homes North of the border

• Administrative work

Dog Care at the Shelter

 

Volunteers who work at our dog shelter will have many different duties, like cleaning shelters, feeding animals, playing or walking with dogs, transporting dogs, and assisting in their care, rehabilitation and adoption.

Fostering a Dog

 

Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home, you're: freeing up a spot so the shelter or rescue can take in another dog, help in the care of dogs with special needs or  attention, and giving your foster dog the time he/she needs to be ready for adoption.

Flight Angels

​

We are in need of “Flight Angels” to accompany our dogs to their new homes or foster homes in the United States or Canada. We will do all the work to prepare the dogs for their flight, cover the airline fees for the dogs and have staff at both airports to handle their check-in and check-out. In some cases we will pay part of your airfare.
