Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we must announce the impending closure of Scruffy's Doggie Oasis Rescue and Adoption Center/Stray Dogs of Mexico. After 17 years of unwavering dedication to saving and caring for hundreds of dogs in need, this decision weighs heavily upon us.
Closure Date: We have until November 25, 2023, to find loving homes for nearly 70 dogs in our care
We Need Your Help!
The dogs we've rescued over the years need your help now more than ever. They require a safe place to go, whether it be to another reputable rescue organization or the warm embrace of a caring local family here in Mexico.
For nearly two decades, we have taken in dogs, regardless of their conditions, nursed them back to health, and showered them with love while tirelessly seeking their forever homes. We take immense pride in the countless lives we've saved, rehabilitated, and placed in loving families.
Our Request:
-
If you have ever considered adopting a dog, now is the time to open your heart and home to one of our amazing furry friends. Your act of kindness can provide a loving home and a second chance at life.
-
If you are part of a rescue organization or know of one willing to help, please reach out to us immediately. Together, we can ensure these dogs find the care and shelter they need.
-
If you can contribute in any way, whether through donations, fostering, or sharing this urgent message, your support can make all the difference in the world.
Please help us ensure that these dogs receive the love and care they deserve in their next chapters. Together, we can make their futures brighter. For adoption inquiries, assistance, or more information, please contact Flower Fowler at sdomrescue@gmail.com.

8 Abandoned Puppies Seek Foster Care as Shelter Faces Closure
Update: All puppies are in foster care currently.
Nov 2 2023 - Scruffy's Doggie Oasis/Stray Dog of Mexico, on the brink of closing its doors, found itself in a precarious situation when 8 adorable puppies were abandoned on its doorstep.
These vulnerable little ones, just a few weeks old, now urgently need foster homes to provide them with love, care, and warmth during the crucial early stages of their lives. The shelter's impending closure adds a sense of urgency to the situation, as they need to find temporary fosters until the end of January when they can be transferred to another shelter or adopted locally.
